Recent evidence suggests that choosing multifocal over monovision contact lens corrections for your presbyopic patients is one way to effectively improve patient satisfaction and profitability for your practice.
In fact, results of a post-study survey of 30 patients showed that 6-12 months after their initial fittings, almost three times more multifocal patients than monovision patients were still wearing their contact lenses at least 3 days a week. Equally compelling, none of the tested monovision patients reported contact lenses to be their preferred form of vision correction after the study. 1
Try it yourself. Take the multifocal approach with your presbyopic patients, and experience the long-term success it can bring both you and your patients.
